With our new mounting plate for in-line solenoid valves, we offer a well-conceived design as an alternative to the conventional integration of the solenoid valve inside the limit switch box.

The mounting plate is attached directly to the F05 drilling pattern of the limit switch box. The solenoid valve is mounted on the side – outside the limit switch box housing, not inside it.

We expand our product portfolio with a new limit switch box from the “wave” series. This modern solution provides, in addition to classic open/close applications, an analog feedback with high precision by means of a 4-20 mA signal via angle sensor.

In comparison to conventional voltage signals, 4-20 mA current signal features an extraordinary resistance to interference. Electromagnetic interferences, which intrude into the line as voltage signals, cause only minimal current changes, considerably increasing the reliability of the transmission. The 2-wire technology also enables efficient monitoring of cable breakages. Furthermore, every position in the swiveling range can be precisely monitored.

The new limit switch box can be easily and precisely set for any swiveling range between 0 and 360 degrees using a designated Teach-Box. In addition to an angle sensor, two further limit switches or two inductive V3 sensors can be integrated into our limit switch box for open/close positioning, which significantly increases the safety and reliability of system monitoring. The angle sensor is also available with “Neptun, flex and EUROBOX” series, as well as “wave”. 

The requirements for redundancy is a major issue in safety-relevant plants. With pneumatic actuators, equipped with a standardised interface according to EN 15714 (VDI/VDE3845), we have always reached our limits up to now, as this interface only allows for one installation.

For this reason, the -WD (shaft feedthrough) variant was developed within the "wave" limit switch box series: With the additional interface (80x30x20 mm) on the cover, the following attachments are possible:

- Limit switch box with a top-mounted angle sensor
- Limit switch box with a top-mounted positioner
- Two limit switch boxes mounted one on top of the other

The advantage of this version is the increased SIL rating with SIL 3 due to redundancy and the increased number of position feedback signals per actuator.
